Room 213 had a slightly musty, pickle-like smell whenever we first came in, though it was clean and comfortable. The lobby smelled amazing, and I wish that fragrance carried into the room. The staff were consistently kind and welcoming, and the free breakfast and parking were nice extras. There’s an indoor pool, and I thought it was being put to good use for a hotel. It’s conveniently close to the airport, and for the price it’s a great deal. I’d stay again if I’m in the area. Five stars from me, especially for the really great service, which can be hard to find these days.

Breakfast was good, with sausage, eggs, bread, waffles, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice. Our third-floor room was clean, and I didn’t see any bugs. There was some ordinary wear and tear, and the only thing I’d pick on is that the shower head couldn’t be adjusted, so a bit of water got outside the tub. Check-in had a small hiccup because I booked through Wyndham using the book-now-pay-later Flex Pay option, but we sorted it out. The man at the desk was friendly and understanding. I’d definitely stay again.

The breakfast was pretty disappointing, so we decided to eat at IHOP instead. The only protein was powdered scrambled eggs, and the rest was five yogurt cups, waffles, mini bagels and some cereal. Also, the mattress was so soft that we both kept rolling toward the middle and couldn’t sleep well.

Getting onto the highway was tricky in the current snow because of the curve you have to drive around. Even so, I’d stay here again. The rooms are spacious and really clean, and service was good, nothing special but perfectly fine.

I’d been staying at Comfort Inn for months before trying Baymont, and I’m glad I switched. The place is clean and has a good feel to it. Everyone on staff was nice and accommodating, something Comfort Inn could learn from.
