Greenhouse Uptown

We explored the neighborhood on scooters, and the location made that easy. It's close to pretty much everything you might need or want to do. The setup also works well for friends, since you can have separate apartments and still be nearby to spend time together. No complaints from us, we'll definitely be back.

I tried contacting them a week and a half ahead with questions and to ask about extending my stay, but nobody got back to me. When I needed to cancel a week in advance, I felt that should have been enough time for them to fill the room. There was no compassion, and no one answered the phone. I'm glad we avoided staying there. They can take it up with our credit card company.

This was a complete mess. I arrived without check-in instructions, called and got no answer, then received a text. I spent my whole flight going back and forth with the host while he tried to sort out payment with Expedia, even though the booking was confirmed and fully paid three weeks earlier. On arrival day he also told me I'd have to change rooms halfway through my three-night stay. Why wait until that day to bring it up? I would've booked somewhere else. He blamed Expedia and only apologized after I pointed out that he hadn't. The bathroom floor had hair, some outlets didn't work, and there was no TV remote. Half an hour after I left, he texted to say I needed to check out now. The person running this place was wildly incompetent and seemed not to care about me. Avoid it.

Check-in was really convoluted, and when I tried to reach the apartment manager for help, my calls went to voicemail and I got no assistance. There were no towels. The room creaked, the lights didn't work, and the toilet handle was coming off. Noise from the bus stop and cars went on all night, so I couldn't sleep. I wouldn't stay here. If I could rate it lower, I would.
