The beds were clean and comfortable, and we slept well in the spacious room. The staff were polite and friendly too, so despite a lot of problems, the three-day stay wasn’t horrible. The facility didn’t feel especially clean, though it was clear that parts of it needed repair and attention. The building sign had lights out, our tub faucet shot off during my shower, and the shower curtain was torn and too short to keep water off the floor. The drinking fountains didn’t work, the sliding barn door looked like it might come loose from the wall, and the main door had to be shoved to close. The safe didn’t work either, and we found a giant cockroach in the shower. The ironing board was too tall for its cabinet, so it had to sit at an angle and left no room for hanging clothes. Breakfast was mostly fine, but the pancake machine stayed broken the whole time. The hotel is next to both the freeway and train tracks. Google Maps may send you into the industrial area behind it, where there’s no access, so use Kingsley.

The location was a little awkward, since GPS took us to the warehouse behind the hotel, but we found our way from there. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were very kind. Breakfast was fully complimentary, with eggs, sausage, and more.

The woman who checked us in around 6:30 p.m. was such a sweetheart. Just asking a few simple questions and making me feel like a friend staying at her home turned my whole day around. I wish I’d gotten her name. Maybe someone can help identify her from the time she was working.

I stay at different properties more than 70 nights a year as a Diamond Elite member, and this one really stands out. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. A special thank you to Tashely, who upgraded me to a suite so I could be closer to the elevator. That mattered to me, and she also worked around my family running late. Her attention and help made the stay much more pleasant. I highly recommend the property.
