We drove 14 HOURS to get here, only to be told at check-in that our room had been canceled. We’d paid a week in advance and had a confirmation, but they said a refund would take 5-10 business days. My fiancée had booked a fun trip so we could get away from work and explore new states. We don’t object to the background check itself, but we had no idea it would happen during check-in. His record was from 17 years ago and had nothing to do with theft, assault, being a sex offender, or anything like that. We were supposed to get an email the day after confirmation or three hours before check-in. We had to call to ask about it, which was unprofessional, and then this mess happened after we’d arrived. We called several times after the first conversation because someone was meant to reach out and didn’t. It took speaking to a third person to get any answer about the cancellation. We were stranded, humiliated, and embarrassed. We found another place, Residence Inn in Addison Tx, which was much better and cheaper, with extra friendly staff, more amenities, breakfast, a 24/7 front desk, and the same apartment-style living closer to downtown. That was a relief after the virtual front desk idea here. I’d never recommend Kasa Love. They should be ashamed of how they treated guests who were interested and ready to spend money.

The bed is really comfortable, and I’ve been sleeping well with earplugs. The upstairs neighbors are audible when they walk, but so far they’ve stopped by 10pm. Plan for possible morning noise too, since planes from the nearby airport may wake light sleepers. Check-in was easy, the room was immaculately clean, and the little home supplies made a real difference: laundry detergent, extra paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, body lotion, and tissues.

It’s an apartment complex, so don’t expect to see a “Kasa” sign. Following the directions makes it easy to find. It’s not a true luxury stay, but for a work trip it has what you need, especially if you want more room than an average hotel.

We had a terrible experience with Kasa. On the morning of our last day, my car was towed even though my stay ran until the afternoon. I’d followed all the check-in instructions, but the app showed my parking status as “Expired” at midnight. When I contacted support, they gave me the name of a tow company that didn’t even exist. I had to use GPS to find my car, and the company that had it was completely different. Nobody took responsibility for sorting this out, so I had to handle it myself. They later asked me to send the ticket and invoice I’d paid, then refused to deal with the charge and told me to work it out with the tow company. The company said it had received a call from management and came to tow the car. I was left caught between them, out of pocket, and nobody would help. Not recommended. Stay away if you don’t want to risk losing time and money over a tow. TERRIBLE!

The location was central and near the airport, and getting around was easy once we figured out where to park. The only problem was the bathtub: a condensation drip line drained into it, so we couldn’t bathe our five-year-old. The shower worked just fine.
