We expected the lack of an iron or microwave, but the extra charge sign was a surprise: $15 for early check-in, $15 for late checkout, and $10 for another room key. For a motel with service that was already poor, those fees made me think I’d be better off spending a little more on a basic hotel. My husband and I called housekeeping in the morning to ask them to clean our room, and the front desk said we were on the list. When we came back, nothing had been done. The desk then said we had to be in the room when housekeeping came, which I’d never heard of. I’ve always had rooms cleaned while I was out. I will give them credit for one thing: another front desk worker did bring us fresh towels.

Best value I’ve ever had for the price. My cat and I have stayed at some of the best Motel 6 locations here. The rooms are adequate, and the beds and pillows are good. This one’s much better than the location on Stemmons Freeway a couple miles away.

I wasn’t given a second key, even though two people were checked in. The desk wanted the other person to come show ID first, which was a hassle. I’ve always been given two keys at other hotels, and the site doesn’t say an extra ID is needed. If a reservation lists several people, they could simply provide two keys. A teenager, for example, might not have ID. The room itself was a decent size, and the beds looked clean. I didn’t see bugs, though that doesn’t prove there weren’t any. It was an upgrade from the hotel we’d left after 30 minutes because of several health concerns. We were in Dallas for a business trip and had extended our stay, but couldn’t book another night at the original place, so after another stop didn’t work out, we came here as a last resort. For one night, I wasn’t totally disappointed or pleased. There were only towels, two bars of soap, an ice bucket, and four paper cups. No coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, shampoo, or conditioner. That was disappointing, especially since the hotel we’d just left had small toiletries. I ordered liquid soap from Walmart because I didn’t want to drive around looking for it. Thankfully I’d brought my crockpot, but using it was a problem: the outlet under the TV wouldn’t hold the plug, so I had to wedge it between the sink and wall. The bedding also gave me hives. I don’t know whether it was the laundry products or the material, so I slept with my poncho liner. The shower curtain had visible stains, and the anti-slip mat had a line of scum around it. I had to bleach the tub before I felt comfortable showering. Please replace stained curtains and mats. With the AC off, we could hear highway noise and other guests. When it was on, it was so loud that we could barely hear the TV and kept adjusting the volume. The listing mentioned “expanded cable channels,” but I couldn’t tell what was expanded about them. Even Sci-fi wasn’t available, so we watched Boomerang the whole time. That was fine because we grew up with those shows, and it reminded us of the first time we met face to face, when it was the only thing we could watch. Still, it would’ve been nice to have more options or a way to see what was on without surfing the limited channels. I brought my firestick, but the outlet wouldn’t keep its plug in place either, so it couldn’t power the stick and TV.

I’m just passing through and thank goodness it’s only for one day. This place smelled like smoke, and nearly every towel and pillow had blood or other stains. I found one towel without any that I could see and used it on the bed to sleep on. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I won’t come back.
