Royal Inn Dallas NW

It was an awful place, worse than a one-star rating suggests. The desk attendants were rude and 'ghetto', and they were advertising rates of $149 a night. There were drug dealers talking to each other right outside our window all night. The bedspreads were disgusting, with cigarette burns in both of them, and the sheets weren’t washed well. The pillows smelled like body odor. Old hair covered the bathroom floor and shower/tub walls, and some substance was splattered on the walls. There’s more, but who’s complaining. If only I’d known. SMH :(

I only needed somewhere to sleep for the night, and I was glad to have a bed and a hot shower. I don’t really have an opinion about this hotel. I guess most people in my position would say you get what you pay for. The job was done, so I’d put this motel at about 2.5 stars.

I’d rated this place one star before, but when I came back I was amazed by the changes. It’s basically a new place, completely renovated and under new management, with a new customer service culture. They even give you a free sprit at check-in. Who does that? Give it a shot, you might like it.

The room was much cleaner when I left than when I arrived. I brought my own Lysol, spray bleach, and small vacuum to clean it. This is a nasty, disgusting dive known for drug buying and selling, and there’s lots of prostitution. I wish I’d slept in my vehicle, parked far away from this area. I would have rested better. If I ever have to choose between somewhere like Royal Inn and my vehicle, I’m picking my vehicle every time.
