El Camino Inn

When we tried to find a resolution, the man was rude and acted entitled. You have no idea what someone may be dealing with in life. I hope your hotel is still open in a year or so, and that the money you made from our situation keeps you in business. I’ll move on, it’s just money, but I’ll make sure people know the El Camino isn’t well managed and doesn’t care about its customers.

The rooms are cool, but be aware they authorize an extra $100 on your card for each day you stay. I paid $315 the first day. The second day I used my card but wanted to pay cash instead. I paid $212, and they put an $89 authorization on my card. I’m still waiting for both my $100 deposit and the $89 authorization, almost $200 altogether. I just want my money back. It has scammer vibes. 😭 I paid almost $400 for the stay, and I get that there was a concert and an event going on, but come on, Daly City, this place isn’t worth $400 on weekends. There was even a spider on my ceiling that my friend caught. Now I’m calling the hotel about my money and card being charged, but the 20 year old boys working up front aren’t answering. I’m about to press the issue.

Service was minimal, but it suited this property, and I’d come back without hesitation. The rooms are smaller and the design is older, yet everything is well maintained. It was clean and comfortable, with surprisingly little noise given the Mission Street location.

They seem to have made some upgrades, including a new shower. The sheets and towels were very clean and white, though the old indoor-outdoor carpet and the rooms’ strange cleaner smell were off-putting.
