Blue Lantern Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

We booked at the last minute and wanted a water view and some comfort to start the new year. The staff are attentive and friendly, and it's so easy to step out onto the patio. Watching the harbor at sunrise and sunset was peaceful. The coffee stays fresh throughout the day, and we're about to try breakfast.

The room had a stain on the sheets and an eyelash on the pillowcase, which was a pretty gross thing to find given the high luxury prices. The front desk dealt with it quickly and professionally, and housekeeping replaced everything straight away. Apart from that, I enjoyed Blue Lantern Inn. The evening cheese and wine service was a real standout and added to the inn's charm. Breakfast had one signature dish that really hit the mark, while the rest was simple and familiar. There's a unique atmosphere and a lot of heart here. I'd still come back.

I coordinated the event and arranged a room block at Blue Lantern Inn for my family while we were in Dana Point for my aunt's sea burial. The staff took wonderful care of us before and throughout the stay. The chef and breakfast staff were especially thoughtful, preparing breakfast earlier than usual so we could make it to the boat dock on time. That extra effort meant so much to all of us. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully maintained, and the ocean views offered a calming bit of peace during a somber weekend. The welcoming atmosphere, quiet setting, views, and staff make this a place I'd highly recommend.

Our group came from out of state for my bachelorette weekend, and everyone was blown away by the spectacular harbor views. The breakfast and happy hours were wonderful, with homemade, hearty food that's much better than typical hotel fare. Carmen Hoffarth, the Group & Special Events Coordinator, set up our room block and arranged special accommodations for my friends as soon as I asked, even though it meant extra work for her. Blue Lantern Inn made the weekend absolutely dreamy. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!
