Palms Inn

The new management has made significant improvements since my last visit. It feels safe and clean, and works perfectly for early morning flights out of FLL.

The king bed was comfortable, and the place came with a shower bathroom, cable, a microwave, a nice little fridge, and full furnishings. I had privacy and free Wi-Fi too. The gentleman who owns it are very polite and nice, and do what they can for you. The people they employ do the same.

DO NOT STAY HERE, and don't pay cash. I booked online and paid cash for the stay. They promised to email a receipt, but it never came. The booking platform charged me too, so I paid twice. A motel employee refused to send me a receipt for the cash payment, and I’ll file an official complaint with the online booking platform. It cost US$143 a night for a filthy, falling-apart motel with no hot water and ripped towels. The place was really old and smelled like cigarettes, even though my room was non-smoking. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The owners take real pride in this family-run motel and keep a close eye on it while sitting outside, which I appreciated. Even the outdoor ashtrays were clean. I’m a smoker, but out of respect for them I didn’t smoke in the room. Inside, my room was immaculate, with nice-looking wood furniture and a great A/C unit. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were awesome. I slept wonderfully. The bathroom was small but clean, with good lighting, which matters to me as a man with a beard. The shower was small but clean and had good water pressure. The toilet flush had two options. The motel itself looks nondescript when you drive by, like any old motel, but it turned out to be a hidden treasure, much nicer than chain hotels like Holiday Inn, Marriott, Ramada, or Motel 6. It’s near the beautiful beach in Dania. I’d definitely stay again and commend the owners for keeping a clean, comfortable, safe place. I can only imagine a bad rating might come from someone who wasn't behaving or respecting the owners.
