Sleep Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport

The location is good, the bed was comfortable, and there’s a free airport shuttle. But I booked an early check-in for $50 so we could use the pool, only to find the pool was closed, and that hadn’t been disclosed when booking. The property was fully under renovation, which the booking site hadn’t mentioned either. Every hallway was being painted, and the fumes were so strong I felt nauseous. Our toilet kept running for hours after each flush. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and unless we pulled it shut ourselves, the room door swung open. If all you need is a place to sleep, this might work.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the staff were nice. It’s also very convenient for the airport. My main issue was the weak shower pressure. After a long travel day I’d been looking forward to a relaxing shower, but it wasn’t much of one.

We had a warm breakfast and clean room before our cruise from Ft. Lauderdale. There’s a little shopping plaza across the street, with a pharmacy and restaurants nearby, and the hotel is convenient to both FLL and the cruise port. We’ve stayed at different Ft. Lauderdale hotels on previous visits, but we’ll come back here. Our friends travelling with us said they’d likely return too.

A last-minute flight cancellation left me needing a hotel near Fort Lauderdale airport. I was in South Beach when my 9pm flight was canceled around 4pm. Through price line I found a beautiful room for $154, with breakfast the next morning, bag storage for the day, and a shuttle to the airport for my replacement flight that night. The room was clean, and every staff member I met was wonderful, helpful, kind, and polite. I’d recommend it to anyone staying near the airport or dealing with an unexpected change of plans.
