Comfort Inn & Suites Northern Malbis

The room was huge and super clean, and the service was great. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the place was. Breakfast was hot, the pool was clean and nice, and having a hot tub was a plus. It’s close to the interstate, with lots of restaurants nearby, plenty that deliver, and many shopping options. We’ll definitely stay again.

We only needed a room for one night, and this place did the job. The room felt old and had DirecTV, which didn’t work because it was raining. There were stains on the shower curtain and a rip in the carpet. Breakfast was a small selection, but pretty typical for a hotel. It worked for the night.

The bed was comfortable, but I thought I paid too much and wouldn’t return. I was back in Alabama, my home state, for a class reunion and picked this hotel for the location. It needs updating, and the bathroom needs a lot of work. I’ve been a Choice Hotel member for years and have noticed the quality under the brand decline over time. Breakfast was offered, but I ate at other breakfast places. We saw one large roach. Parking was difficult because work trucks and vans took up some of the spaces. I understand truckers pay for their rooms, but it was still a challenge. One night we found a handicapped space in the rear lot; the other nights we parked in regular spaces.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were awesome overall, especially Ms Raven and Ms Joyce, who were the sweetest. My bad review is because of the overnight woman who took over from Ms Raven. She was rude, confrontational, arrogant, mouthy, and entitled. She even left her car in the entrance, blocking customers. As a business owner, I wouldn’t tolerate someone treating customers that disrespectfully. She was the one reason for this review; everyone else was absolutely great.
