Comfort Suites Mobile East Bay

Check-in was very friendly, and I had a really nice room with a comfortable bed and a separate living area. There were lots of TV channels. I don’t eat much breakfast, but it seemed fine, and I just had coffee and yogurt. Restaurants, shops, and a movie theater are all close by. I’d happily stay again.

Getting around was easy from here, with shopping, restaurants, and the interstate close by. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and check-in was smooth and stress-free. Comfort Suites in Daphne was clean and quiet, and the roomy, well-kept room was very comfortable. I had a great stay and would come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I felt uncomfortable during check-in on January 9, after arriving around 5:45 p.m. for a stay through January 10. The woman at the front desk treated me very rudely, and I felt her behavior toward me as a Hispanic guest was inappropriate. Hotel staff should have stronger professional ethics and training so they treat every guest, especially international and foreign customers, with respect. Better customer service would make a significant difference to the experience.

If it hadn’t been so late to book somewhere else, I would’ve left. The front desk clerk was asleep in the office behind the counter when I arrived. I waited, called out hello a few times, then heard snoring before she finally got up after I tried again. She had an attitude throughout, as if I’d disturbed her paid nap. She told me not to read the papers she wanted me to sign, then argued when I said I needed a moment to read them. She also told me to fill them out in a way that didn’t match what the paper said. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly either. There was toilet paper floating in the toilet and hair all over the bathroom. It could be a nice hotel if the staff put in some effort and showed hospitality. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place is run so poorly I nearly cancelled.
