La Quinta Inn & Suites Mobile - Daphne

We went a few extra miles out of our way to stay here because pet-friendly hotels around Mobile had such poor reviews, and it was worth it. The hotel was quiet and very comfortable, and everywhere was clean and smelled nice. Breakfast was good, the dining space was comfortable and clean, and the staff were warm and helpful. We’ll come back when we travel between North Carolina and Texas.

We were driving from Florida to Texas and stopped at the La Quinta in Daphne, Alabama. After a long day on the road, check-in was easy thanks to the welcoming staff. The room felt cozy and was spotless, and breakfast was delicious before we set off again. The location was convenient and felt safe, with what we needed close by. The whole place was clean and well kept. We’d happily stay again on another road trip.

The walls are thin enough that I could hear other rooms, including the person above us at 5 a.m., so I wouldn’t choose this for a longer stay. For one night on the way to Florida, though, it worked well. The room was clean, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the gym was great. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare. I also liked that the entire property is nonsmoking, which kept it cleaner.

The room was clean and nice, and the lobby smelled clean too. It’s a pleasant area and I didn’t see any signs of danger. I’d stay again, though parking was a hassle: 18-wheelers are allowed along the right side of the lot, making it hard to get in and out with a big truck like mine.
