La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Davenport & Conference Center

The staff were kind and helped sort out the problems, and I’m grateful for them. Still, the hotel itself has too many issues, and their kindness didn’t outweigh them. Around 2 a.m. one night, my keycards stopped working on both the outside doors and my room. Breakfast wasn’t good either. My first room had a broken shower and gross sediment on the tub floor. The building and the whole property feel dated compared with other La Quinta Inns and really need a full remodel. The bathroom exhaust fans don’t work, the carpet is wrinkled and easy to trip on, and there’s mold on the ceilings.

The front desk was very kind, and the place seemed clean enough, but the bathrooms were awful. The towels weren’t even good enough to use as rags at most hotels. Water leaked from behind the showerhead more than came out of the nozzles. I used to stay here often and had already reported this same problem. Plenty of time has passed, and nothing has changed. I’m done staying here.

We changed rooms after finding what looked like a urine stain on the sheets under the comforter. The room had looked fine at first, so seeing that was completely unacceptable. We barely slept in the new room because we were worried about bed bugs, given how poorly maintained the place seemed. The hall carpets were rippled, covered in debris, and looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. When I walked into the lobby, it was dingy and smelled of cigarettes. I trusted the La Quinta name when I booked and regretted it as soon as I arrived. This place is a total dump. Disgusting.

We tried changing rooms several times, but every room had the same unsanitary problems, and we couldn’t stay the night. The blankets had visible spots, and the bed had hair and nail clippings under the sheets. The dirt around the property, including debris scattered through the hallways, made me physically uncomfortable. I was itching just from being in the room. The front desk was unattended. After waiting 20 minutes with other guests, I had to call the hotel’s front desk number from my cell just to get someone to help. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Don’t stay here.
