What a mistake. We paid $40 with a military discount and pets, then found a better hotel for $36 that was ten times better. This place was really gross. It smelled moldy, and there were bugs everywhere, spiders and flies included. The shower curtain was broken, and there were no towels in the room. When we asked for four, they gave us two small, stained, disgusting towels and two hand towels that were just as dirty. The sheets had holes. We didn't stay. We handed the keys back and left. The residents seemed sketchy as hell, and the staff member referred to another tenant as a “c***” in front of my husband. Very unprofessional. I still have the heebie-jeebies.

Sarah at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I was there for four nights and spoke with several front desk staff, who were nice too. The room was very nice, and I liked that there was an ice machine on site. You can't beat the price. I'll stay here whenever I'm in Davenport. Just awesome.

The room was so disgusting that we left after maybe ten minutes, but the front desk guy initially refused a refund and claimed we'd already used it. After I pushed back, he said we'd been there over an hour, then accused my girlfriend of being a prostitute and said we'd rented the room for sex. He only agreed to refund me after I said I’d call the police about the drugs and sex workers, my bank about a fraudulent charge, and the health department. We got out of there as fast as we could and ended up driving through the night on caffeine rather than stay. The problems were obvious from the start. At the desk, the guy was sleeping with his bare feet on the counter. Out back, near our room, we saw what looked like a drug deal. It was almost midnight, but people were shouting and cursing around the property. A car outside one room had escort-business stickers, and we could hear the woman “escorting” someone. Our room door didn't close properly, and its locks had been broken off. Inside, the carpet was badly stained and torn, the bed hadn't been made, and the bedroom lights didn't work. The bathroom was filthy, and there were flies everywhere plus what looked like roaches crawling in the bathroom and bed. We had no choice but to check in, since it was late and every other place was sold out. Worst hotel experience I've ever had by a long shot.

After driving through a snowstorm all evening, we were exhausted and knew Davenport was as far as we’d get that night. We stopped at the first hotel off the interstate. The staff were friendly at check-in, and we paid $50 a night for one of their “best” rooms. The room was filthy, with stains on the walls and everywhere else, and it reeked of smoke. We turned off the heater because it just pumped more of that smell into the room. The lampshades were discolored and stained, and the comforter was torn up and felt strangely greasy. We threw it on the floor and slept in our clothes on a rock-hard bed. I should have taken the “no refunds” signs posted in at least four spots at the registration desk as a warning.

I've stayed here before, and they usually fix things, but this time the room wasn't stocked. There were no pillows on the bed and no soap or toiletries. They eventually brought those, but then the TV had no sound. The person I spoke to said nothing could be done, so I’m sitting here watching TV silently. I wouldn't recommend Quad City inn.
