The best thing about this hotel is its location at the I-4 and 27 junction. There are other hotels nearby, though, and even though the booking agent stacked discounts, I wish we’d chosen one of them. We stayed a few nights while visiting local theme parks. None of the amenities worked, including the pool, which was closed in the summer heat. The interior rooms were the only finished part and had nice upgrades like hardwood floors and comfortable beds. The rest of the property was an active construction zone, with unfinished baseboards, paint, cracked windows, and uneven pavement. Our first room had an exposed wire hanging from the ceiling, so I asked to move. In the second room, there was a strange red stain on the bathroom door that was never cleaned during our stay, and there was no phone. The bathroom sink pipe leaked on the second day. They fixed it but didn’t let us know, leaving the cup and soaked towel there all day. We returned late from the parks, sweaty and ready for showers, but there was no room service during our stay and only one towel for the three of us. I called the front desk for more, and she brought them about 45 minutes later, after we’d all showered and were trying to sleep. I also killed a baby roach during a midnight trip to the bathroom. Ramada is getting a bad name from this hotel, and corporate needs to clean it up.
