Ramada by Wyndham Davenport Orlando South

We checked in late on March 17th, 2026 with three exhausted young kids, so leaving to find another hotel wasn't really an option. The room had German cockroaches everywhere: I have at least ten photos of them on the bed frame, in the bathroom towels, and on the furniture. I told management, but they didn't seem very concerned. I called several times asking for the on-site manager and never got a call back. The people who took my messages were rude, too. These roaches can be hard to get rid of, and if they were in our room, I worry they could have been in others. They could also get into luggage and come home with you. I felt the room charge should have been refunded. I reported it to Bookings.com; they said they passed the information to the Ramada, but didn't do anything else. I can't believe management didn't speak with me or seem concerned about guests. I wouldn't stay here again.

The room had some space, but the stay was still disappointing. The mattress had a plastic cover that made it hard to sleep, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The washbasin was clogged and the lamp didn't work. I also missed the breakfast that came with the booking because no one told me the serving times. When I asked staff for help, they were rude and unhelpful. I hope the hotel takes these problems seriously for future guests.

The room only got service once during our whole stay, and the air conditioning didn't work. There were bugs in the bathroom, and the pool was closed, which was especially disappointing because I wanted my child to enjoy it. The facilities look very dated and nothing like the online photos. Breakfast was limited, and I spent most of our three days eating bagels. I asked for eggs, but was told they had run out. I explained that my autistic child wouldn't eat anything else there, and eventually they brought a cheese omelet, saying it was the last one. I was grateful, but then saw a couple arrive at 9:02, after staff said breakfast ended at 9:00, and they were served eggs and everything else without a problem. That really upset me. Earlier, when I asked a front desk staff member whether breakfast included eggs or pancakes, she said, “No ma’am, this is intercontinental breakfast.” I had hoped the food might make up for the other issues, but it didn't.

For the price, the rooms were a good deal: clean, newly renovated, and comfortable. The beds were nice, the TV was good, and the refrigerator was cold. The heater and AC worked well, the internet was good, and the shower and bathroom were nice. The shared areas seemed to be under renovation all the time, and the outside of the hotel needs a lot of updating.
