I spend more than 150 nights a year in hotels, and this was one of the worst stays I’ve had. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance, and plenty of shopping nearby. The refrigerator was clean inside. But I won’t stay here again, and I’ll discourage others from coming. I can’t see how this property meets Choice Hotels standards, and I’m sure it would fail its annual inspection. Choice should be ashamed to include it in its portfolio. The front desk isn’t staffed around the clock like at most hotels. I booked online, then called to say I’d arrive very late. They told me to call when I got there and someone would bring a key. When I arrived, the woman at the desk admitted she’d nearly given my room away. It was prepaid, which would have been completely inappropriate. When I was a hotel manager, we always held prepaid rooms for guests arriving late. The room looked clean at first, but a closer look showed several problems. Two of the three overhead lights didn’t work, the chair was badly worn, and there were maintenance issues, including water damage behind the stove and cracked caulking in the bathroom. The cleaner left a sterno warmer attached under the microwave with a magnet. We got only two bath towels and two washcloths, no hand towels, and the shower pressure was awful. This was also the first extended-stay property I’ve used that provided no kitchenware. The biggest red flag was a juvenile cockroach climbing up the refrigerator, along with a full-grown one in the bathroom. Worst of all, there appeared to be blood on the bed sheets.

This was a mess. My husband and I took turns staying awake so we could sleep safely. We’re not from Davenport, and other hotels were already booked. After paying, we were told the stay was non-refundable, and now I understand why. From now on, I’ll ask to see a room before paying. I rate this hotel zero, and it won’t happen again. Don’t stay here, not even one night. The rooms are nasty and look nothing like the website. If I’d seen ours before paying, I wouldn’t have stayed for my 55th birthday. There’s no room service except Tuesday and Thursday. You have to bring dirty towels down to get clean ones and take out your own garbage. The floor was covered in dog hair. It looked as though someone swept it out the door and left it there. I asked the clerk to have someone clean it, but when I came back, it was still there. The window blinds were torn and had ketchup stains, and the white blinds were dirty.

The location is phenomenal and the room rate is fairly decent, but this is a very cheap extended-stay hotel. Bring your own cleaner and supplies. Don’t expect much service or hospitality.

I’ve been here almost two weeks and have enjoyed my stay so far. The staff is pretty great. Carla and Ron are usually working and are there to handle any issues people have. If you’re looking for a nice place within your price range, come check it out.

The room was awful. I’ll never stay here again. When we checked in at 10:30 pm, the front desk attendant was rude and seemed annoyed we were there. The person ahead of us asked for a key to check on her dad, but the desk refused. She ended up calling 911 for a welfare check. The attendant was then angry that we held the interior door open for the EMTs. They tried to charge me twice for the room and shut the front desk’s sliding cage on us. The other person at the desk had a dog and felt intimidating. As we walked up, they shouted our room number. This didn’t feel like a safe place.
