Comfort Inn Dayton South

I never stayed at the hotel or used the room. I booked the wrong Comfort Inn through Booking.com by accident and cancelled as soon as I noticed. I understand that the booking was non-refundable, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing. I contacted both the hotel and Booking.com several times over the following week and kept being told a manager had to deal with it, but the manager wasn’t available. When I finally spoke with the manager, I was sent back to Booking.com, even though they had already contacted the hotel and received no response. I hope other guests don’t run into the same frustration.

The fire alarm went off on the third night and they couldn’t turn it off. After an hour and a half, we were finally moved to a room at Sleep Inn. It’s hard to sleep after that ringing in your ears, then pack up and move at 10 at night. I wasn’t offered any compensation for the pain in my ears. I heard from other people that this alarm going off is a common problem, though that’s only what I was told. The first two nights were just okay, and breakfast was only about half of what they advertise. Apparently, with no customers there’s no hot breakfast. I won’t stay here again.

They refunded me, then took the money back the next day and said they’d only return 50%. The whole thing felt like they didn’t care about cleanliness or their customers. We woke up to ants all over the table beside the bed, the coffee machine wouldn’t work, and breakfast was awful: the gravy was like Jello and the biscuits were hard. When I called, the woman gave me an attitude and said, “Hunny, we’re in the South, there’s gonna be ants.” I grew up much deeper in the mountains. This is about keeping things clean and looking after customers.
