Days Inn by Wyndham Daytona Oceanfront

We spent just one night here after a two-week trip abroad, before heading home. The rooms were clean, and the staff were all extremely nice. Our room had a small kitchenette with dishes and silverware. It’s right on the beach, with a heated outdoor pool and a nice outdoor hot tub. We could have gone swimming in January during a cold front if we’d wanted to, ha. There’s no breakfast and it’s not fancy, but it wasn’t gross and we had no complaints. The one small annoyance was the safe battery starting to beep at 5am. It eventually died before checkout. We weren’t using the safe, but I couldn’t get back to sleep after hearing it. The kids slept right through it. There’s coffee and a lending library.

The hot tub hasn’t been hot the last two times we stayed, though maybe that was because it was summer. Otherwise, this is my favorite little beach spot for a staycation. We’ve been several times and always have a great experience. Check-in is easy and friendly, they accommodate our early check-in requests, and we get a top-level room with an ocean view. The rooms are large and clean, with a balcony, chairs, and a small table. There’s beach access, a pool, and the hot tub.

The oceanfront view was amazing, and waking up to it every morning made the stay one of our best. Everything felt worth the price, and we’d happily return to Days Inn by Wyndham Daytona Oceanfront. The woman at reception was welcoming and kind, so we felt comfortable right from check-in.

The pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, and private beach entrance were nice to have. Kim at the Front Desk made check-in easy, and the oceanfront efficiency had its own balcony and everything we needed. The pillows were firm but comfortable, and the bed was just a little high. Some areas of the room and hotel are worn and could use maintenance. There’s no breakfast included, though plenty of places are nearby. The Starlite Diner is about 5 or 6 miles up the road and worth the drive. I’d stay here again.
