We had to cut our Thanksgiving trip short and pay extra for a hotel during a holiday week. In Unit 103, the condo was dirty and poorly maintained, with roaches on the couch and dusty surfaces. There was mold inside several air vents, and wiring hanging from the ceiling fan, including what looked like a household extension cord being used as wiring. We saw sparks from it, which seemed like a serious fire hazard. We took plenty of photos of the conditions. When we contacted our host, Amy, she was dismissive and unhelpful. We’ve since filed complaints with VRBO and the Code Enforcement Department in Daytona, Florida. No guest should have to deal with those conditions. I’d avoid this rental until it’s cleaned, repaired, and inspected.

The staff were so friendly, especially the very professional woman at the front desk, and the grounds were beautiful. We had a clean pool, right by the beach, with nice landscaping, and the area felt secure and quiet. We were on the ground floor and never heard noise outside or through the walls. The condo had just about everything, especially for cooking, plus plenty of towels, sheets, blankets, sand toys for the kids, and wine for the adults. We loved our week here and only had to leave yesterday. We’ll definitely come back soon.

They were giving the building a facelift and making repairs while we were there, so I’m looking forward to seeing it once the work is finished. Parking spaces were a little tight, though getting in and out was easy enough. The condo is right on the beach, and several restaurants are close enough to walk to.

My family and I had an amazing stay, and the rooms we stayed in were wonderful. We did run into some trouble with the building keys in certain areas. Sometimes it took a lot of jiggling to get them to work. Even so, I’d definitely come back.

That porch and the view of the pool and beach were incredible. The place was spacious, clean, well kept, and furnished with comfortable furniture. The mattresses were fine, though they could use an upgrade. There was plenty of basic beach gear and lots of cooking accessories. We’ll be back every year, maybe more often.
