Nautilus Inn

I stayed for 9 days, and the shower water never got past slightly warm. I was told there would be no parking charge with a Handicap Sticker, like at places such as the Hard Rock and other Daytona hotels, but they charged me anyway.

I’ve stayed at Nautlis Inn many times and look forward to coming back. It’s right on the ocean, with large, newly renovated rooms, a great pool, a hot tub, and a terrace by the water. The employees are fantastic and make sure you have what you need, always with a smile. Five stars don’t feel like enough. Thanks for another great stay!

Dec 2025 review The beach access, location, and ocean view are the best parts of this hotel. The room didn’t feel dirty and smelled nice, and I saw how carefully the cleaning ladies worked. They were on their A game. I did see two roaches, though. They charge for a heated pool but don’t turn it on until the end of January, so they shouldn’t be charging for it. There was no coffee because of renovations. On busy weekends and holidays they leave notes in the elevator saying cleaning won’t be available. If you can’t get cleaning unless circumstances suit them, they shouldn’t charge for it either. Maybe they’re understaffed, I don’t know. The daytime front desk woman had a terrible attitude and talked badly about customers right in front of us. That was really unprofessional. The night shift receptionists were very nice. This place is affordable and has a lot of potential, but it has issues. They need a different daytime receptionist and a bigger cleaning crew.

The rooms are well laid out and very nice and clean, with a full refrigerator, microwave, stove, and utensils. There’s also a separate sink and mirror outside the bathroom. The views are beautiful, and sleeping with the balcony door open lets in the ocean sound and breeze. The coffee is the one letdown. Staff don’t put it out until 7 a.m., and breakfast is no longer offered. There’s an IHOP a couple of blocks away. I’d definitely stay again.
