I booked through Hotels.com for a music event. They charged almost $200 as the initial deposit, and the total stay came to $620. At check-in, the manager seemed annoyed to be there and asked for my card without telling me how much he was charging. I had booked months ahead to avoid hassle and save money, but he handed me a receipt for $650, more than the full reservation. I thought I only owed $400 at check-in because of the deposit. I should have asked about the amount first, but I didn't expect this. Then there was rat poop and mold on the pillows while I was there with my pregnant girlfriend for our last outing before the baby. The manager said it wasn't his problem and to contact Hotels.com. For $870, I could have stayed at the Hilton a block from the event.

The rooms are really large, and the place was clean, friendly, and quiet. It's an older property, but it's well kept. The blackout curtains made the room dark even with the lights on. The area didn't feel like the best place to be after dark, so keep an eye out and stay safe. Have fun.

This is a rundown, poorly managed motel, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. My wife and I were there in early July, mainly because we couldn't get a refund. The Google listing says there's a pool, but there wasn't one. The room smelled bad, was dimly lit and outdated, and had burn holes in the bedcovers and graffiti on the headboard. The window had been left open and couldn't be closed. When we notified the owner or manager, he came with the maintenance man and vice grips to shut it. The maintenance man entered shirtless and smoking, which was unprofessional. We had only two rough towels, one a cloth, and no washcloths. When I asked for more towels, they offered one. The showerhead was taped together, the tub faucet was very loose, and there were stains all over the tub and shower. There were no drinking cups or coffee pot in the room, and not even one in the office. We were also put in an adjoining room without being told. I'd post pictures if I could. I gave one star because the site required it; otherwise, I'd give none. The owner could hardly speak English.

I was traveling alone and worried about staying here, especially after what I almost checked into a block or so away. The manager helped me feel secure. He made sure I got into my room and got the TV working, then met me outside in the morning to say goodbye. The room was clean, nice, and roomy, and the shower had great heat and pressure. Thanks.
