There was hair on the pillow, by the toilet, on the tub, and on the desk chair. I put my spare clothes over the bed and pillow to avoid touching things, and felt sick about the whole room. It was very outdated too, though that part is easier to accept given how cheap it was. We only stopped because of the storm, and if it hadn't been so cold, I'd have slept in my truck rather than run it for heat. Then I woke up and found a cockroach in the shower. Can I give zero stars?

A clean, convenient spot for a night while passing through. The service was great, and getting back onto the highway the next morning was easy.

The pillows could use replacing, and the door took some muscle to open, though the owner said she was working on replacing the doors. My microwave had significant damage inside, so I left it alone. Still, the place was extremely clean and quiet, and my shower looked new. The TV was very good, the light was bright, and the memory foam mattress was so comfortable that the mattress alone would bring me back. There’s a bar and Grill across the street, plus a Casey’s about a block away for beer, pizza, snacks, and munchies. The rooms also have refrigerators. The woman who owns the place is great and seems to be trying to make everything look as new as possible. Don’t expect a Hilton, but I’d choose it for a few nights in the area and make it my regular stop when traveling I 80 through Iowa.

The mattress sagged where people had sat on its edge, and I felt like I was rolling out of bed at night. The beds had no box springs. There were stains on the mattress and on half the towels, and the bathroom door was coming apart at the back. The shower surround was cracked and broken, the phone didn’t work, and the connecting door was unlocked. We had less than half a roll of toilet paper and no spare. The room was badly outdated and needed repairs. I don’t recommend it, and won’t stay again.
