The setting is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We stayed two separate nights. Both rooms were clean, though they looked like some updates were still underway. Unfortunately, the room on our second stay smelled and had some mold on the ceiling. They couldn't move us to another room. Otherwise, I would have rated the place higher.

The morning breakfast outside, at tables overlooking the beautiful flowers, was a lovely part of the stay. They include a continental breakfast and let you rent bikes for free. I was there for a wedding, and the inn was conveniently just before the bridge to Tilgman island. For the price, it's a great weekend spot. There were a few bugs in the room, though I expected that with front and back doors I kept going in and out of.

The bay and marina views are perfect, and our room was clean and neat. Service was good, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful for the rest of our stay. The pool is too far from the inn to be convenient, and we had no Wi-Fi during our two nights because of a storm earlier that week. The welcome was rude when we mentioned my husband's service dog. We were told he couldn't stay in the room and that we might be charged up to $800 for cleaning. We said that was illegal and that the ADA allows service dogs in hotels without fees. They said the owner would contact us to discuss the fees, but that we could stay. We never heard anything more and weren't charged.

There are lots of things to do nearby, from walking and canoeing to boating, fishing, and more. The hotel is really nice, the rooms are very nice, and the staff are helpful. It's one of my favorite places to be.
