OYO Hotel Decatur TX Hwy 287 Northwest

For me, this was a good affordable place to land after moving from Phoenix Arizona to Decatur Texas with nowhere to go. The staff was great and did her job. Stores and restaurants are close enough, while the location also gives you room to keep to yourself if you need that. The rooms are basic, good for getting sleep or starting fresh, but not if you need a place with everything included. It isn't luxury or somewhere I'd bring the whole family, just a spot to sleep and move on.

Oyo is a VERY good value. The rooms are compact, cozy, and have what you need; parking is easy, and the staff are professional and friendly.

They made my friend pay 25 dollars to get her lost keys back. Then they kicked me out without giving a reason, even though I'd already paid for two more nights. I called Oyo customer service, but the front desk wouldn't answer their calls. Worst customer service I've ever had. Don't stay here.

We brought a crew of more than 12 for wind energy work, with more people expected over several weeks and multiple days each week. Our company has been notified, and won't send any business here again. Ms. OWNER, that's 30 to 50 rentals a week lost. The owner, or whoever claims that title, was beyond rude and wouldn't accommodate needs, including those involving a handicap service animal. The website pictures don't show this place as it is now, or must be from 20-plus years ago. It's run-down and filthy; bedding and towels are dingy and stained, and the rooms smell of bug spray and like they haven't been cleaned properly. In three rooms, every smoke detector was broken, and one was missing. The pool hasn't worked in years. You say you own the place and can do what you want, so I can write an honest review. Good luck, and may God bless you. Sincerely, never staying here again!
