We even found candy lying in plain sight on the floor between the nightstand and a bed. The refrigerator in our room had been unplugged for a while and smelled awful, and friends staying there said they found rotting food in theirs. The pool and hot tub were shut, with no reason given. The pancake machine was also unplugged without explanation. Breakfast was mostly grocery store bread, muffins, and bagels repacked into sandwich bags. There were three kinds of cold cereal with no labels, plus orange drink and milk in pitchers. Saturday’s coffee was weak but at least hot. By Sunday it was sitting at room temperature, and I suspect it was left over from the day before. I would absolutely never recommend this hotel.

We paid $10 each for three people to use the hot tub after the gym, and stayed only about ten minutes of the two hours we were allowed. The public restroom smelled like human waste. In the tub, there was a floating film, gritty debris on the bottom, and one of us found a short hair stuck to her skin. When the attendant asked about the water, we said it was disgusting. She said she’d have it checked, not cleaned. I should have gotten my money back, but nobody offered. We live nearby, but definitely won’t be returning. Good luck.

I’m really upset about how this was handled. I came back from dinner and couldn’t get into Room 206, where I’d been placed. The overnight front desk person told me I was actually in Room 205, so I tried that door. Inside was a used, dirty room with someone else’s belongings. I have photos of that room, as well as a photo and video showing me in the clean Room 206 earlier. I called the desk again and tried several times to explain that Room 205 had clearly been occupied and that I felt unsafe. The woman heavily gaslit me. When I asked for another room, she told me, “you can just leave.” I paid to stay here, and now I’m afraid for my safety, but I’m not going to sleep in my car. Being treated this way is messed up. I’ll be bringing all of this to the manager.

I’d just left and driven to another hotel, which probably says enough. The AC didn’t work, despite the 80% humidity, and the WiFi wouldn’t connect, which I need for work. Other hotels I’d stayed at in the area that week had been fine. Check-in was supposed to be at 3. Nobody even spoke to us until then, and when 3 arrived they said the room wasn’t ready. They finally opened the window around 4. The staff were sweet, so I don’t blame them, but the owner needs to get moving and fix this substandard hotel. At $240 a night, I’ll be contacting my credit card company. I asked for a partial refund and was told they’d call the “boss.” Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
