My husband and I come to the Inn at Spanish Bay every January for a golf trip, and over the years we’ve gotten to know the staff personally. This past trip came after we lost our baby boy to a miscarriage. I was doing okay with the healing process until we arrived, and it turned into a very hard week. Every staff member showed up for me and did whatever they could to help. Housekeeping even brought essentials to my room without me asking. The service was incredible. And TRACY deserves a special mention. She’s exceptional at what she does and goes above and beyond for guests. We look forward to seeing her and catching up every year. I’m already counting down to next January. I never leave reviews, but I had to write this one.

We had another great visit over the Christmas holidays last year, and may do the same this year. We usually choose an ocean-view room, which we love. Roy's and Peppoli have delicious food and lovely views, Stick's at the golf course serves very good food and drinks, and Stave Wine Cellar is a great spot for wine. We also like walking down to the beach and spending time by the fire pits with drinks, the bagpiper, and the sunset. The Monterey Peninsula is one of our favorite places to visit. We’ve stayed here many times over the years, and it’s always relaxing, with a beautiful property and great hotel staff.

We stayed in an Ocean Loft room, and the views were breathtaking. Every part of the room felt thoughtfully designed. What made the visit stand out most was the service, the best I’ve experienced. Everyone we met was warm, professional, and attentive, and things felt effortless because no detail was missed. The Inn at Spanish Bay gets comfort, elegance, and hospitality just right.

We’d absolutely come back. The staff we met were all friendly, the room was beautiful, and the food and drinks on site were delicious. I enjoyed hearing the bagpipe each night, and my son loved playing the beautiful course. I’d recommend it!

We followed the Asilomar coastal trail from our cottage and found the trail to Inn and Spanish Bay. After asking around, we went around the corner to the fire pits for a cocktail and a snack. Drinks and appetizers while the bagpiper played at sunset were amazing. The music went on for a while. Check the website for the timing.
