Hampton Inn & Suites Del Rio, Tx

The room was good, but the service really stood out, from the young woman at the front desk to Mr. H. We were tired and didn't want to switch rooms after discovering the air conditioner was loud. Mr. H arrived within 15 minutes and said he could replace the whole unit in 30 minutes. He did exactly that. The hotel and reception area were nice and clean. Very impressive, thank you.

The breakfast was enough, though a bit sparse, with no fresh fruit or potatoes. Still, I'd definitely stay again. It was my first time here while passing through the region, and I found a good location, pleasant staff, and a spacious, very clean, well-furnished room.

The breakfast was pretty basic. The hotel had some renovations fairly recently, but the work is already looking poorly done. Tiles at the entrance and in my bathroom were loose and bowing, and the elevator tile was pretty beat up too.

When we finally checked in the next morning, we found drywall dust in the shower and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned after the renovation. The hotel is under construction, though some rooms have been updated, which is nice. At 2 o'clock, with nobody else there, the front desk clerk was less than professional, told us we couldn't check in until after 3, then walked away. We went for a beer. Hopefully it'll be cleaned up by the time you stay.
