I needed a place to sleep nearby with my service dog, and the other big-name hotels said they were out of rooms, mentioning a conference in town. When I called here, they treated me with care, and the young man at the hotel was nice too. The rooms seemed to be under renovation, which I liked since things looked new or updated. I only missed a tissue holder in the bathroom and a full-length mirror. It's close to shopping, and I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.

The room was clean, which was the main thing for me. The bathroom did look updated, though the hotel itself seemed older and I couldn't tell whether more updates were underway. The furniture was a mismatched, scratched-up assortment, but it worked. Breakfast was a joke. If you like waffles, that was about all they had. There was very little else, just a few pieces of bread and a few prepackaged muffins. We got there early, so other guests hadn't eaten it all.

They overcharge, and the door policy is strange: you can only enter the building through the front door, even if your room is elsewhere. If you use another door, you lose your deposit and have to leave.

The location is the only good part. It was filthy and smelled moldy, and it seemed obvious that the owner and workers didn't care. We paid $140 for a night but couldn't stay because it was so disgusting. They never offered compensation, and management hasn't replied. Do not stay here.

For a budget hotel, it landed somewhere around the middle of the 60 or 70 I've stayed in. The sheets and bed were clean, and I didn't see any bugs, but the floor and drawers were dirty, there was growth by the heater/AC, and the Wi-Fi seemed suspect. The lamp was hanging by its wires, which made me wonder if they were waiting for an insurance payout instead of trying to earn money from guests. The shower head ran like a faucet. I asked for help so my wife could rinse the soap out of her hair, and was told no. Breakfast is free, but I wouldn't trust the waffle syrup: it came out like slime, the kind kids play with, rather than syrup. You get what you pay for.
