Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort & Spa

The spa was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and the food was exceptional. The pool is amazing too, and the staff and service were just as good. This was my second visit, and I still love everything about the hotel. I can’t wait to return. Pick up a candle while you’re there so you can enjoy the signature scent at home.

The beach setup was the biggest letdown. I chose this hotel because it’s beachfront, but nobody told me there was a huge pipe running across the beach. Even with rented chairs and an umbrella, I wouldn’t have had an unobstructed ocean view, which defeats the point for me. I paid about $600 a night, and the credit offered afterward was just $35 toward the resort fee. That felt dismissive and nowhere near enough for the stay. The room was in unacceptable shape for that price: the bed and toilet paper holder were broken, and the internet worked only about half the time. This was my latest stay at Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort & Spa, and my worst there, even though I’ve stayed before. I expected much better.

Our wedding at Opal Grand was a 5/5 experience. The hotel means a lot to us for personal reasons: nine months ago, when she was still my girlfriend, I asked Sarah to move in with me at Drift, the restaurant below the hotel. We later chose Opal Grand for our wedding, and Sarah is now my wife. The staff made the weekend especially memorable. Melissa from Hotel Room relations, both Carlos’s in Food & Beverage, Matt and his Valet team, and Katy from Events all stood out. The people at Opal Spa, drift, and the restaurants, along with the bartenders at Elevate and Monkey Bar, treated our families, friends, and us with real care. They made us feel like friends and family, and handled every question and request thoughtfully. The hotel itself has beautiful rooms and architecture, with a Cape Cod, Oceanic, nautical feel, lovely views, great food, and lots of amenities. Sarah and I highly recommend it for a getaway, a night out, a vacation, or especially a big event like a wedding.

We’d happily stay here again. The chocolates left on our bed each night were a sweet bonus, and the room was cleaned beautifully every day by kind, lovely staff. Valet was quick and efficient, and reception welcomed us warmly and was always ready to help. A great stay! 😊
