Sundy House - Delray Beach

The landscaping made the evening for me: tucked-away tables among the trees and flowers, pretty gazebos, and lights marking the paths and illuminating each seating area. It felt tropical and romantic, and everything seemed well managed. The staff were amazing and the food was five-star. I celebrated my birthday here tonight, and I was impressed from the moment I parked. This is my new favorite place.

The setting is gorgeous, but the brunch was one disappointment after another. We tried to find something to enjoy, but the food was inedible. Even the scrambled eggs were burned brown. All the bathroom toilets were clogged, too. We hardly saw our server except when the bill arrived, which made it tough to enjoy the bottomless part. The weather was the only good thing about our visit yesterday. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Brigitte and her assistant Manoushka looked after our group of seven women so well. They were friendly, lively, eager to help, and made us feel like queens. The brunch was simple but out of this world, and the chocolate birthday cake we ordered was just as wonderful. Set in a tropical paradise right in downtown Delray Beach, with forest, streams, waterfalls, and wildlife around it, this has to be the best restaurant I’ve ever visited. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend dining here!

I stopped in just to buy a gift card for a friend who wanted something special and didn’t know Delray’s restaurants. This was the first place I thought of. I’ve eaten here and been very satisfied, and the experience is what really stands out along with the delicious food. The garden has lovely outdoor seating with ponds, gazebos, and statuary, making it a nice choice for dinner under the stars or a wedding. Inside, there’s an open-air veranda and central bar. I especially recommend the brunch for a special occasion. The only downside this time was how long it took to get help with the certificate. Nobody seemed to know the prices for the boutique bungalo cottages for overnight stays either. A weekend getaway here, including brunch, is still on my bucket list.
