This was a stay from hell. We were traveling from NC after a death in the family, had driven almost 12 hours, and arrived around 11:30 pm. At check-in we were surprised by a $100 deposit that hadn't been clearly shown when we booked and paid through Priceline. The room was filthy, the hallways reeked of Marijuana, there was mold and a cracked sink, and there was no smoke alarm. I have photos. After Priceline told me to ask the front desk what they could do, I did. They said they could move us for that night, but we'd have to move again the next day, meaning three rooms in two days. The “new” room wasn't much cleaner. We got to bed around 1:00 am, but the other guests were incredibly loud and there were trash truck noises. We got up at 5:30 am and checked out around 6:30, following Priceline's advice. Then Priceline and I spent the day trying to get a refund. The property wouldn't refund us. Priceline offered to refund the remaining three nights, but not the first one. I argued that we were there about six hours and left because of the conditions, so we shouldn't have to pay for any of the stay. Priceline eventually gave me a 20% coupon as well as a refund for the other three nights, but the property had to authorize a refund for the first night and refused outright. I really wouldn't recommend this place or any other Red Roof facility in the Lancaster area. We've tried two of the three Red Roof locations there, and all of them have residents who disregard property rules and regulations, to say the least: loud noise, smoking, drugs, asking for money, and so on. We ended up at the Days Inn on Eastbrook Road in Ronks, and it was much better.
