The breakfast was decent, and the location worked well for restaurants and our venue. Still, as someone in hospitality who knows how much reviews matter, I wouldn’t stay here again. We were here for a Stay to Play event for Varsity cheer, and the room wasn’t fully clean when we checked in. The bathroom floors were dirty, the soaps needed refilling, and there was a huge water stain on the shower ceiling. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay open either. We reported the problems at the front desk, but the man there seemed robotic and uninterested. The next morning, water started leaking through the shower ceiling and a big hole opened up. We asked to move rooms, and they acted as if we were an inconvenience. There was no apology, just “here’s your new room keys.” I asked to speak to a manager, but nobody was onsite at 7 pm, and no one ever followed up.

The price is great, the staff are attentive and wonderful, and breakfast is phenomenal. It’s also comfortable and so close to the Gaylord venue. We stay here every time we have a competition there, and it’s always a great experience. We’ll keep coming back each cheer season.

I’d changed my travel plans and came back for another stay at Homewood Suites, in the same building. It was still a five-star experience, and management deserves kudos. The place is beautiful, clean, and quiet, with lots of good restaurants nearby. I got a lovely morning photo from the parking lot, too.

The breakfast is very good, and the gym is clean. There’s also a small basketball court around the back. My only complaint is the $15 charge for overnight parking. I don’t know if that’s normal for hotels near the Denver airport, but this is the first time I’ve had to pay for parking at a Tru, especially when it’s quite far from downtown or business centers.

We were pleased with our stay at this clean, new hotel, and the breakfast had a good variety. The only snag was that the shuttle service line can get busy sometimes. Otherwise, it was a pleasant visit.
