Hampton Inn Derby Wichita Southeast

We had several family members staying here, and we all thought it was just fine. The place was very clean, including our room, the halls, and common areas, and the staff were friendly and helpful with local information. The coffee bar was perfect for our mornings, and the breakfast food was decent. The eggs sat under a hot lamp, but I always enjoy the hot pancakes. Our first-floor room got a lot of light from the outside floodlights, and the blackout shades didn't block it all. I prefer a darker room, though that's just personal preference. We'd stay again if we're in the area.

Brooke, Bailey, Kennedy, and Donna were friendly, accommodating, and attentive to the details. They were all wonderful with our dog, too. We loved the place and can't recommend it more highly. Looking forward to coming back to this Hampton.

The hotel was extremely clean, the area was very nice, and breakfast was wonderful. It was also in the perfect spot for where I needed to go in Derby. Our room stayed bright all night because we didn't realize there was a shade to pull down over the blinds. It had been rolled all the way up under the valance, so we couldn't see it. We'd come back if we're in the area, and now that we know about the shade, we can make the room much darker like we prefer.

We stayed four days and three nights, and the room was never cleaned, even though I called twice in one day to request it. The cleaning lady said she'd been sent away, which made no sense to me. The TV didn't work, there was construction going on, and breakfast could definitely have been better. We're going back to Derby this weekend for another tournament, but not to the Hampton Inn. It was disappointing.
