The room was huge and quiet, with a king bed and a huge shower. There was also a fridge with a freezer, plus a kitchen sink, coffee pot, microwave, and a huge dining table. I definitely recommend this place.

We've stayed here a couple of times while traveling between Nevada and Washington State, and have loved it. It's clean and quiet, and pets are welcome.

There was tons of space, beautiful surroundings, and a calm, private feel to the place. The managers were incredible with their hospitality and communication.

The best part of the Treetop Suite was the bathroom, which looked like it had been updated more recently. The lodge itself looked nice, and there was plenty of space for us to use. We had the whole upper floor and a fridge, and appreciated that the Lodge welcomed pets. The location worked well too, close enough to Sunriver but far enough from town for a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. We stayed this past fall. I work in hospitality and B&Bs, so I tend to look at places differently and do a lot of research before booking for my family. When we first opened the suite door, we were looking straight into a very messy laundry room. A curtain or blinds on that door would have been an easy fix. Upstairs, the shared area had a lot of potential, and the kitchen was a blessing, but the knives and utensils were old and dull, and the mismatched dishes looked like they came from an ancient thrift store. The dishwasher was full and running, which was fine. The lights were dim, and with no labels on the switches, figuring out which switch did what was a guessing game. The tables were nice, but the couches were old and uncomfortable. Dust covered the blinds, fixtures, and cluttered decor. I know the high desert is dusty, but getting rid of things like the ancient fake trees, caked with dust and residue, could have helped. There was also music equipment piled in a corner. I liked the hard floor and balcony access, though I couldn't see why there was an old exercise bike sitting outside on the balcony. Inside the suite, the two beds seemed like a plus, until late at night when we were putting my daughter into hers and smelled urine. We stripped the bed and found that a cat had clearly urinated all over it, including the mattress. We contacted the owners. They suggested an ancient foldout cot, which I wasn't comfortable putting my four-year-old on, or moving downstairs, which I didn't want to do so late at night. Nothing else was done, so we all crammed into the other bed for several nights. I expected the owner to remove the soiled mattress, and possibly replace it, the next day. Instead, she sent a rude text scolding us for not clicking the box to include our child in the occupancy number when booking. My husband had simply forgotten to click it, though he had paid the pet fee. The message wasn't apologetic or kind, and implied that our child would wet the bed. I'm not sure how including her in the occupancy count would have changed anything. The room still smelled of cat urine whenever we came back from our daily excursions because the mattress hadn't been taken away. Every night we had to open the balcony door and run a fan to clear the smell before sleeping. None of us slept well on the bed, and the owner never followed up after that text or offered even a discount. The housekeeper was kind and seemed to have her own hands tied. I can see the place's potential, and hope the new owners I believe are purchasing it put money into remodeling and cleaning. At this time, I can't recommend it.
