Chateau La Mer 2D Destin

I spent a week here in June and loved it. The quiet hours were just right, and everyone respected them. It's easy to get food or groceries delivered, and the place is close to everything downtown. The beach is only a short walk away, and guests can use the pool. The buildings outside could use maintenance. It doesn't look like someone regularly takes care of the buildings or grounds, at least from what I could tell.

We've stayed at Chateau La Mer ll several times, and it's become my go-to when we visit Destin. The community is quiet and family-friendly, with well-kept grounds. Our condos have been clean and comfortable, like a home away from home. The beach is about a five-minute walk, and restaurants are easy to reach on foot. There's a playground, a pool, and a nice grilling area. The units also have a porch and back patio, a washer and dryer, and pretty much everything needed to cook in. My only complaint is that it's hard to pack up and leave for Kentucky.

It's a quiet development, though getting to the beach access takes a bit of a hike. I wish there were a place to rinse off closer to the beach. Our condo was well stocked, and they told us before check-in that the washer and dryer weren't working. New ones were delivered the next day. Richard, the property manager, was great.

The location is the best part. Our host got us all the information we needed quickly, and Richard was really friendly when we had questions. We'll rent here again.
