Destin Towers 21 Destin - 2 Br Condo

The beach is lovely and not a bad walk from here. It wasn’t crowded when we visited, though it wasn’t peak season yet. The grounds and pool were well cared for, and the location was wonderful.

Destin is beautiful, and I’m very happy with the location. The condo is nice, though I had to wash the sheets and other things. Having a washer and dryer made that easy. I don’t like how umbrellas and chairs take up all the front of the beach, so we just walk past them. The halls and other shared areas are very clean, parking is easy, and the pool and hot tub are clean.

The condo itself was very nice, but I came for the ocean and left really disappointed. We paid over $2,000 for four nights, expecting to walk down and set up our own chairs and umbrellas. Instead, the resort lined the beachfront with rentals at $55 each, and there was barely room to get into the water. You can’t set up in front of the rentals, and they’re packed so close together. Construction made the traffic getting to the condo horrendous. Nothing about this location felt relaxing.

The view from the balcony was awesome, and unit #21 was a beautiful, clean condo with everything a small family would need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly book this specific condo again next year. The reserved parking spot was a nice plus. Chris provided all the important information, and the cleaner/maintenance person arrived right on time at checkout and was polite and patient. A few things could use attention: most of the knives had rust, a towel holder was barely hanging on, there were no dish supplies or dishwasher pods, the master BR toilet flush was odd, and bathroom water pressure wasn’t great. The beach was also extremely difficult to use. Until 5, it’s lined bumper to bumper with $55/day rental umbrellas and chairs, so you either pay or try to find a spot. Even with those issues, I’d still try to get this place next time. It’s that good.
