We'd happily return after our six days at Holiday S&R Club. The room was clean and had the basics, and the kitchen gave us plenty of room to make meals when we wanted to spend more time on the beach and avoid traffic. Choose your unit carefully, especially if you're expecting a two-bedroom to fit five people. The wings seemed to have nicer views than the inside of the V-shaped building, and anything above ground level should have a good ocean view. The location is hard to beat: easy beach access, more privacy on the beach than most places east of the jetty, and convenient drives to Destin Harbor, water-sport rentals, shops, and restaurants. The resort has great staff, simple check-in, a basic pool, nice tennis and pickleball courts, plenty of parking, and great views. It feels family friendly without the party atmosphere of some other properties. Towels are replaced three times a week. We had no complaints. Your stay will depend on planning ahead for groceries, activities, sunscreen, and ways to limit sun exposure.
