Inn on Destin Harbor, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We'd stayed here before and had a great experience, but this visit was disappointing. Our request for connecting rooms was visible at check-in, and when I booked in person I was told they could absolutely arrange adjoining rooms. Still, they put us apart even though several rooms on our floor were empty. The front desk wasn't helpful. As a local, we may look elsewhere for our next staycation. A chair in our room looked fine but was broken, and my son nearly hurt his back sitting in it. We also had to clean dry, sticky spots off the desk and floor. My husband's breakfast sandwich had mold on it. The harbor and fireworks view was great, though, since we were there for New Year's.

We checked in and quickly decided the hotel was dirty and very outdated, unlike how it was presented on the website. We checked out knowing we'd be charged for one night, which was fine. But a month later, the refund for the other eight nights still hadn't arrived. We've called a lot trying to reach the manager, and every time we're told they're not working. This place feels like a total scam. Do not book here.

Ms. Rose and Ms. Yulia made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the Inn Destin Harbor. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel valued throughout the stay. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean, with the property clearly well maintained. We also loved the stunning balcony view. Great accommodations and customer service, we'd highly recommend it.

My best friend and I spent a few relaxing days here, and the harbor view from our room was lovely. The place has a fun, cool vibe, with happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. and complimentary breakfast. Yulia, the manager, has a great team. Every staff member we met was nice and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfy too. Thanks for a great stay!
