My car flooded in the parking lot by the security gate on May 25th, 2026. It was parked within line of sight of the gate building, though I couldn't see that lot from my condo. Security collects guests' condo number, license plate, and driver's license at check-in. Given that, I think it would've been common courtesy to let me know the water was rising and the car could flood. The man at the gate kept saying he couldn't control the weather. That's not the point. If you see a guest's car in a lot that's flooding, you should contact them. I reported it at the main office too, but still haven't received a call, text, or email. Nobody wrote down a form or statement. The drainage is clearly poor, and my car probably wasn't the first to flood. There was no flash flood in the area and no sign warning that it was a flood zone or to park at your own risk. Jetty East has poor communication and customer service. This could've been avoided if someone had told me to move the car. Now I'm stuck with unnecessary costs and the hassle of driving a rental home while my car is still in Destin.
