Shoreline Towers 2025 By Realjoy Vacations

We booked with real joy vacations months ahead for a family trip we were really looking forward to. About a week before arrival, the company emailed to say the main pool and fitness center would be unavailable. Once we got there, the whole complex was under heavy construction. Entire floors were closed, there was loud noise throughout our stay, and paint and water dripped in the hallways, making it hard to get to our unit. Our balcony was unavailable for the whole stay. Both balcony doors had locks that didn’t work, which meant construction workers could access our unit and belongings. I contacted real joy vacations within an hour of arriving, but they said it was after hours and the HOA couldn’t check the locks. We heard nothing more about it during the stay, so we rigged makeshift locks on both doors. On the second day, workers used scrap materials to lock the doors from the outside, so they couldn’t be opened. With reduced ventilation, we could only do light cooking, and worried about safety if there were a fire. The Sterling Shores maintenance team told us there was nothing they could do about the doors being locked from outside. Construction started at 7:45 every morning and went on until around 8:30 in the evening. One night, workers set off the fire alarms at 8:30, and the whole complex had to evacuate. Other renters told us it was the second time the crew had set them off recently. I dealt with three different real joy representatives. Each day I was given a time to expect a reply, but they didn’t get back to me, or tried to push the conversation back, so I had to contact them again. Eventually they gave us a small refund on the rent, but it didn’t change the sour feeling this vacation left us with. The compensation wasn’t enough to make us book with the company or complex again. We won’t be back.

The beach was only steps away, and waking up to the sea air made each day feel special. We spent 12 days here in December, and the whole stay was peaceful, comfortable, and easy. Everything was clean, the staff were kind and helpful, and we felt at home from the first day. It was a lovely spot for unwinding or getting out to explore. The facilities and service were just right, and the vacation exceeded what we expected. We'd happily return. Thanks for making the trip so memorable.

The host was warm and easy to reach whenever we had questions. Magnolia House #510 was quiet and comfortable, with especially good beds and lovely views. The place was clean and beautiful. We hope to stay there again soon.

The unit itself was a comfortable place to spend the winter. 1409 was clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the cookware and tableware we needed. RealJoy was excellent to deal with throughout, from booking through the end of our stay. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, they kept us informed about changes at Surfside, and they handled a couple of small arrival issues right away. Melina Caston was especially helpful and arranged a refund when we raised our concerns. The reason we'd booked was to use the amenities, but Surfside maintenance was a real letdown. One of the two hot tubs was out several times. We were first told the heated pool would be ready by the end of December, then February 15. We left on 2/26 and it was still closed, after being down for four months. We weren't happy with that, and the maintenance planning needs attention. RealJoy, though, was a class act, and I'd recommend booking through them. We booked in 2025 for 1/6/26 - 02/26/26.
