We spent a lot of time on the balcony of our two-bedroom condo on the 12th floor of St Lucia. It had everything we needed, including a kitchen and washing machine. The beach was a five-minute walk away, rather than right outside the building. The white sand and clear water were lovely, though there weren't shells for the kids. The pool was fine and warm enough for kids during the last week of August. The cabanas looked great, and we'd rent one if we could do it again. We also wish we'd rented beach chairs and tents instead of bringing our own. Hauling our wagon up the stairs and through loose sand was a hassle. The condo sits in the flight path for the private airport, so watching the planes come in was fun if that's your thing.
