The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and their friendly, professional service was the best part of my stay. The room itself was another story. Parts of the shower and tub came off when touched, which didn't feel safe or acceptable. The AC was so loud when it kicked on that it sounded like a jet engine, making it hard to relax or sleep. I also wish someone had told me about the renovations before I arrived. Knowing in advance would have helped me set my expectations. Hopefully the room issues get sorted once the work is finished.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though I wasn't happy about a call to my room close to 9 pm telling me to quiet my dog. He was asleep beside my bed, and the call woke my son. I also seem to have been charged more than the final bill, so I'll need to contact Hilton customer service. Room 215 felt overdue for an update. Paint was peeling from the bottom of the bathroom door, and there were a couple of wet spots on the carpet when we arrived. The toilet looked clean, but the lids were left up, which made me wonder whether it had been cleaned. Breakfast was just okay, with few choices, though the kids would probably enjoy the waffle bar. My son had fun in the pool. The location is pretty good, but I think there's only one public beach within walking distance, which is disappointing. I wouldn't choose this Hilton property again.

The location is a real plus: the beach is about five minutes away on foot or by car, and there are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. Breakfast was pretty good, with different items each day. The pool was nice too, though the weather felt brisk. I'd guess the water was heated to around 65-70°. We'd prepaid online, then learned at check-in that the hotel was under construction. Nothing online had warned us. The front desk woman kindly upgraded us to a partial beach view, which was nice, but the daytime construction was piercingly loud until about 4 or 4:30 pm. If you're considering a stay, ask whether the work is still going on before deciding. I gave the rooms two stars because the beds need replacing. Hopefully they'll be upgraded as part of the renovation.

The staff were great. Not long after we arrived, they texted to ask if we needed anything. We did, and someone knocked on the door five minutes later with the problem sorted. The place was clean and affordable, and its central spot meant we could get anywhere in town in about ten minutes. I'd stay here again.
