Best Western Premier The Lodge on Lake Detroit

We keep returning every year for the spectacular lake views and the clean property, but the service this time especially stood out. Beth kept the breakfast bar supplied with food and drinks each morning, handling a very busy weekend with such ease and poise. Sam and Melissa at the front desk, Todd supervising housekeeping, Katelyn, and Levi all showed great teamwork. My family and I were impressed. Thank you so much.

Restaurants are within walking distance, and the lounge also has some bar food. Our room was spacious and very clean, with outdoor seating by the lake. Sam greeted us at the front desk and was very helpful, then did an excellent job tending the bar later that evening. It was a great experience, and the location right on the lake is excellent.

We only stayed one night while passing through, but I’d definitely return. The room had plenty of space, a large bathroom, and great views of the lake and sunset. The mattress was the best we slept on during our trip. It was lovely to hear the loons, though highway and train noise could be heard in the background. A very nice stay.

We’ve stayed at a lot of motels this year, and this BW location is easily among our top five. The breakfast was better than we expected. We haven’t found another comparable BW since early summer in Chemaomus BC Canada.
