Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Detroit Lakes, MN

The pool and hot tub were great, and there’s a sauna too, though we didn’t try it. The hotel was clean and well kept, and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was only okay: the sausage gravy was good, but the biscuits were cold, wrapped in Saran Wrap, and there was no way to heat them. Sausage and pancake batter were missing when we first came down, though they were replenished later. With snow falling, the entrance area hadn’t been shoveled much and only part of the parking lot was cleared. I’d still recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a highlight, with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, and really good coffee. Our room at the Country Inn and Suites in Detroit Lakes, MN was spotless, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly and took care of everything I needed. I had a great stay and will be back. Two thumbs up!

The staff were all great. The rules and early closing times were the one downside. We had to leave our reserved meeting room by 8 pm, and this was the first hotel I’ve stayed in that didn’t allow any kind of drink in the pool area.

The rooms were messy and the beds hadn’t been made when we arrived. The workers weren’t very friendly, and it felt like they didn’t like kids or teens. They yell at you for no reason and are never nice to sports teams. Breakfast was awful, with no choices. I wouldn’t recommend this place. An old man also pushed a minor into a wall, and the police were called.
