I spent two days at Devils Tower Lodge to climb the tower, and the Green room was a fun surprise. The site called it the darkest room, which turned out to be true, and the oversized bathtub had a spectacular view of Devils Tower. There’s also a door straight outside, where you can look at the stars at night. The lodge is quaint and thoughtfully decorated, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The common room has couches and a huge bookshelf, and guests often sat around talking. Some climbing guides were there too, swapping stories about past adventures. The homemade meals were delicious and generous, with fresh coffee ready early each morning. Whether you’re climbing, hiking, or just taking pictures of the tower, it’s a great place to stay.

We had a fun two days here, my wife and I. We don't climb, but enjoyed chatting with the guides and the people getting ready to climb. The staff were very friendly, the home-cooked food was good, and the view of Devils tower was something else. It was quiet and peaceful at night. There are no TVs, which added to that calm feel.

We had a good room and check-in and checkout were easy. Breakfast was very good too. The views and location by Devils Tower are incredible, and being nearby meant we could head to the visitor center first thing Sunday after staying over on Labor Day Saturday. When we left the park, the entrance line was really long, so getting there early worked well for us. There’s no TV, and the internet signal was weak, but being so close to the tower made up for it.

Meal times brought everyone together around the big dining table, where guests and climbing guides traded stories about adventures, past and present. The home-cooked meals were delicious and filling. Devils Tower Lodge is a relaxed, friendly, and unusual place to stay. Five stars plus.

The shared common area at Devil’s Tower Lodge made it easy to meet other travelers, and the place felt welcoming. The best part is how close you are to the monument, with the view right outside the window. Sunrise and sunset were especially breathtaking. A great choice for the scenery and the chance to connect with people.
