I booked directly with the hotel and got the best rate match. They also handled all my requests, including a first floor room, late check in, and fixing the conditioner pump bottle 😊. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. The pool and hot tub were clean, coffee was always available, and I loved the lobby cookies in the evening. Breakfast was well prepared, especially the potatoes. It was mostly quiet, though the air conditioner is a bit loud. I forgot my sound machine, but the AC did the job. This is my new favorite place to stay in Dickinson.

There are plenty of hotels nearby, but this is the one I'd pick. The price feels fair for what you get, and the staff greet you with smiles, are friendly, and like to chat. Breakfast is simple but has the basics: bagels, muffins, cereal, eggs, sausage, and a waffle maker. The pool and whirlpool were clean, with vending and ice machines around too. The room was very clean, with an easy to use flat screen TV and a printed channel guide. The bathroom is a little tight but neat, and the water pressure is fantastic. The lobby has a peaceful blue and gray color scheme, a sitting area with high tables, cookies and water at check in, a breakfast buffet area, and a complimentary coffee bar with different flavors. I used to stay at Comfort Inn, but it has seen better days, so I gave American Inn another try after having stayed here years ago and seeing some wear. I was pleasantly surprised.

We had a lovely stay at AmericInn and a great 11th anniversary. I got the quiet room on the highest floor that I requested, and we loved having a Jacuzzi in the room. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool and hot tub were fine. The shampoo and body wash barely lathered, and the conditioner wouldn't detangle my hair no matter how much I used, so bring your own. The bar soap was fine. One pillowcase had a cigarette burn, but the pillow smelled clean and otherwise looked clean. There were plenty of other pillows, so we set that one aside. Those small issues weren't enough to take off a star.

The evening snacks were a nice extra, and we got a peaceful, very quiet night's sleep. Breakfast starts at 5am and has a big selection of tasty things. Inside, the rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and pristine, with warm, friendly staff and a clean, inviting pool area. From outside, AmericInn looked plain. It was also very affordable. The parking lot could use repaving to improve its appearance and make parking more convenient.
