Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dickson

The quiet, clean hotel made for a restful stay, and the room was so comfortable that Mattis didn’t even want to get up in the morning. It felt a lot like home. The whole place, from the lobby to the guest rooms, seemed well cared for. Check-in was easy, too. The front desk staff were welcoming, polite, and helpful, and I felt valued as a guest. The location is convenient for anyone passing through the area. I have no complaints and would happily choose Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Dickson again. A stress-free stay, and highly recommended.

The lobby looks updated, but the guest rooms don’t. My room had a bathroom that looked straight out of the 1980s, and the carpet on that floor was ripped and nasty. The whole level smelled like body odor and dirt. I’d been traveling for the week and chose this Fairfield in Dickson. After waiting for someone to come to the desk, I got my key fob and went up to check the room. I left within an hour and asked for my money back. They did refund me, but the service was slow and rude. Having a lot of minor league baseball players there wasn’t an excuse for the condition or the service. It wasn’t worth it.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were pleasant. But the mini fridge didn’t work, and they couldn’t fix or replace it. The coffee maker was missing its basket, and the deadbolt wasn’t working properly.

I usually stay at Fairfield because my past visits have had the cleanliness, service, and breakfast I expect. This time the room didn’t meet that standard. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent, but the room itself was dusty, including sticky, dusty bathroom trim. We arrived after 8 PM and found hair in the shower, which was still wet and felt as if someone had just used it. There was debris on the floor beside the right side of the bed, plus rose petals and used wrappers left as trash.
