Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dickson by IHG

I’m very upset about the extra charge. My husband and I used hard-earned reward points to book two rooms for Valentine’s Day, then checked out early that morning to catch our train for a Valentine’s excursion. While we were enjoying the day, I got a credit card alert that the hotel was charging my card. I called and explained we’d checked out. The agent said the other room had been extended. How could that happen without me there, without asking for ID, a card, or a signature? The agent used the card I had on file for incidentals only, and nobody from the hotel contacted me to approve the charge. I’ve called several times asking for a refund, but they refused. Five days later, management still hasn’t contacted me. This has been very unprofessional.

Getting in and out was easy, especially when we were heading east, and getting back onto the interstate was simple. Check-in was quick, the service was fantastic, and our room was clean and ready. It’s a regular Holiday Inn. Thanks, Holiday Inn Express.

The room was very nice, but housekeeping knocked at 9 am. When I didn’t answer, they let themselves in and started cleaning, even though I’d only gone down for breakfast and hadn’t checked out. People walking into the room like that didn’t make me feel secure. I don’t believe that’s policy. Do better, Holiday Inn. The food was very salty, too.

I drove 12 hours for a close friend’s wedding, and the hotel was difficult to deal with before I even arrived. My friend had a room block here. I was staying in Nashville for part of the trip and only needed this place for one night, but the wedding bus wouldn’t arrive until 3:15 pm and check-in started at 3. I asked if there was any chance of checking in around noon so we’d have time to get ready. The manager was not nice about it and said they couldn’t make accommodations. The only way to check in early, he said, was to book the night before. So I had to pay for an extra night because they wouldn’t work with me. Once we got into the room, the toilet wobbled whenever I sat on it, and the sink wouldn’t drain at all.
